Hostelworld: Hostel Travel App App Reviews

I cant imagine my summer backpacking through Europe without this app. Its so simple to use and we ended loving everywhere we stayed by reading everyone elses reviews on the app. Its so nice to look at the map and see where the hostels are compared to train stations, city centers, etc. I would highly recommend to anyone traveling.

It cant be set to get access to the wlan and data in iPhone which makes it impossible to be used!

Great app but it crashes

This app is very useful for trying to find a hostel in any place of the word. I like how it gives you different search options and shows popular hostels in certain cities

When booking so many hostels on a long trip, its nice to know I can just log on quick and see whats available. Many reviews available to depend on. I really feel l can trust the app when choosing my hostel for a night. With the quick ease of instant book, no need to call ahead!

Hostelworld is an amazing app that is my number 1 when it comes to booking websites. It provides best deals and by providing the map, I can always choose the best hostel close to the city center. Additional reviews of previous clients also help me a lot when I choose a place and so far I havent been disappointed.

The app is gorgeous and easy to use, but it desperately needs to include the full filtering options that the website has. I can only use wheelchair accessible hostels, so the app is useless to me if I cant search for those types of hostels specifically.

App doesnt let you see your last booking info without an internet connection, which is a crucial failure when you arrive at a train station without wifi and need written directions. It should store all that info whenever it connects.

The app is really slow. Also, it doesnt remember the currency setting. It always resets to dollars.

The app does its purpose of looking up hostels, complete with cute map! However, its slow and frequently lags or becomes unresponsive. There are only two filter options (price and type of accommodation) which arent always super helpful. I especially like narrowing down places by private rooms, which isnt an option on the app. Also cannot edit your profile/etc, and some reviews show up incorrectly. Think Ill stick to using the mobile site.

The app is very helpful when it comes to finding hostels! I like how there is a map to see what is near the hostel and I like the different percentage ratings of security, value for money, etc. I have booked two different hostels with this app and it was wonderful!

I loved this App. It really helped me locate places on the fly when traveling around Thailand and Cambodia.

My brother and I (21 and 18) backpacked Europe last summer not knowing what we were doing at all. This app saved our lives. Whether we made a last minute trip to Munich or needed a one night stay in Napoli, this app always came through for us. Made some awesome deals and met some amazing people along the way. Dont go to Europe without this bad boy on your phone. 5 stars

Booked a hotel through this app, showed up two weeks later, didnt have a room. And we were charged through the app and werent reimbursed. Garbage, wont use again.

Ive been using this app for a couple of years now and its saved me a lot of trouble. Its very quick and easy to use.

If you are backpacking Europe... This is app is probably one of the most useful apps to have. I highly advise getting this before your trip begins because you will most likely use it constantly.
